Daily speaking practice by voice message, in a small group or one to one with me. About ten minutes a day, wherever you are.
Knowing English doesn't make you speak it. Practice does.
You've probably studied English for years, you understand films and articles, and you can follow a meeting without much trouble, but when it's your turn to speak, the words come slowly or not at all.
That isn't a knowledge problem. Speaking is something you get good at by doing it again and again until it becomes automatic, so that your attention can go to what you want to say rather than how to say it.
Most people simply don't speak often enough, and that is exactly the part Voice Chats takes care of.
I post a question worth talking about.
We expand on the topic with a new angle.
The most useful mistakes and phrases of the week.
You record voice messages and reply to the others.
Once a month the whole group also meets live on a video call.
Real messages from Voice Chats students, shortened. The second was translated from Lithuanian.
I'm a facilitator, and for 16 years I've designed and run practice-based learning for adults. The lesson I keep relearning is that people rarely lack information, what they lack is practice.
I created Voice Chats to solve that in the simplest way I could think of, by getting people to speak every day, with real people and about things that matter, without having to fit a lesson into an already full calendar.
I will correct your English, but I care more about you speaking than about you being perfect, and you can expect honesty, curiosity and the odd unusual opinion along the way.
We use WhatsApp, so all you need is your phone and a few minutes a day.
Speaking every day is where the progress comes from, so that's the aim, but life happens and nobody will chase you if you miss a day.
Yes, but in different ways. In the group, the Friday feedback is for the whole group, so I pick out the most useful mistakes and phrases from what everyone said that week rather than correcting each person individually. One to one, all the corrections are about your own English and follow you all the way through.
You and I have our own voice conversation on WhatsApp on topics that fit your life and goals, either five days a week or three days a week together with a live 60 minute Zoom lesson, where we go deeper into whatever came up in the chats.
The group works best from a strong B1.2 level upwards, which means you can already talk about most everyday and work topics, even if it doesn't feel smooth yet. If you're not there yet, three days a week of one to one chats plus a weekly live lesson is the best place to start, and you can move into the group later.
You pay a month in advance. The group is a fixed 44 € a month however many weeks that month has, and one to one is charged at the weekly rate for the weeks we work in that month, so you'll always know the amount before the month starts. One to one also has a two week deposit that the group doesn't, and if you want to stop, you just give me two weeks' notice.
Tell me a little about yourself and I'll call you for a short, free conversation.
Your message is on its way. I'll be in touch soon to arrange a call.
